Barefoot Boogie is moving from its previous location to the market, using the Movement Arts Ottawa studio 111 Rideau. What is Barefoot Boogie?
A Boogie is a free-form dance -We call it 'barefoot' because most people take off their shoes. The music is rhythmic, multicultural and fun. Let the music move you! Express yourself in any free, joyful or eccentric way. The lights are low, no one is watching, you don't need a partner, women can safely come on their own... It's a creative, open, safe space. Dress dress funky, dress comfortably, come as you are.
Come alone, come with a partner or with friends, it's wonderful, lively dance space. It's a drop-in party!
In the interest of the increasing number of people with chemical sensitivity, please refrain from wearing chemical perfumes and strongly scented body-care products at these events.
